These feelings are normal reactions to life’s challenges but it’s important to recognize when reoccurring themes related to hopelessness, isolation, anger, aggression and low self-esteem continue to resurface within our lives. The creative process can be a powerful tool in providing and exploring a deeper understanding of these themes. Art therapy is an especially effective treatment in supporting, releasing, and integrating the symptoms of depression.
