Resilience’s DBT Track

Resilience’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program supports clients in managing their emotions, enhancing their relationships, tolerating distress and practicing mindfulness with the goal of building a life worth living. DBT provides clients with the tools to manage their emotional and reasonable minds allowing them to make balanced decisions and sustain strong life-long relationships. Located in Southern California, Resilience’s Dialectical Behavior (DBT) program provides a safe space that allows participants to address the daily issues they encounter in order to leave more confidently and peacefully. The Resilience DBT Program is designed to enhance clients’ capabilities by teaching them behavioral skills and fostering motivation through the application of those skills.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, commonly known as DBT, is a modality designed for people that struggle with interpersonal relationships, dysregulation, as well as a difficulty regulating their emotions. DBT was initially developed to treat Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as personality disorders. However, evidence suggests that DBT has been proven efficacious to work for all people struggling with regulating their emotions and impulsivity, especially for those with a history of self-harm. The Resilience DBT track is offered at all of our levels of care, including our Residential Program, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Resilience’s DBT therapists help clients construct tailor-made goals toward their life worth living and where they would like to see themselves. Through handouts, worksheets, diary cards and the guidance of their DBT therapists, Resilience’s clients are better able to understand the impediments to their best self and balance behaviors and states of high emotional dysregulation.

Resilience’s DBT program offers:
-individual DBT sessions
-Individual Skills Session
-DBT Skills Training Group
-DBT Family Consultation

While typical outpatient DBT programs usually run for 1-2 years, we have curated a curriculum to fit our clients in their short-term at Resilience’s DBT program while providing long-term results in everyday life. Each client and their DBT therapist build an individualized curriculum together and track progress throughout their care at Resilience.
